What each filler is for
Talc is typically chosen to raise stiffness and heat stability in automotive and appliance parts. Calcium carbonate is used to balance cost and processing in automotive, appliances, and packaging. Glass fiber raises strength and modulus for parts that carry higher mechanical load.
The three families are not interchangeable; part geometry, tooling, and the mechanical target decide the route. Custom formulation and laboratory tests replace guesswork from a grade name. High-impact PP remains the path when impact resistance outranks stiffness.
